Youth Ministry Purpose Statement
The Goal of Norfield's Youth Ministry is to reach out to all youth, in Norfield,Weston, and beyond, so that they can experience God's love in the faith-based fellowship of the Beloved Community that will enable them to grow as Christians, and empower them to share God's love with others.

At Norfield,we strive to create a wholistic Youth Ministry Program, meaning that attention is given to all aspects of the lives of Norfield youth. We believe that just as a person not live on bread alone (Matt 4:4), an affective youth ministry cannot address only the spiritual needs of the youth. We recognize that there are ever-increasing demands place on young people, from friends, family, school, society, and even themselves, and that these demands create a multitude of of needs. In our effort to truly provide a Christ-centered home for all youth, we endeavor to follow Jesus' example to recognize, respect and address the many and varied needs of our young people, and provide opportunities for the whole person, not just any aspect of that person. With that in mind, the Youth Ministry program at Norfield Congregational Church includes ten areas of that ministry that combine, seek to, serve the whole person of our youth, and address at least some of their needs. These areas of ministry are: the Discovery Hour Church School, the Conformation Class, the J-Team Family Bible Study, three Youth Fellowship Groups, opportunities in Youth Music, two Improv. Groups, a Youth Prayer Chain, many Outreach and Service opportunities, including both domestic and international mission trips, the Broken Mold Contemporary Worship Experience, and Youth Involvement in Sunday morning worship service. Each of these individual ministries, then, integrate with one another in such away that, together, they create a unified whole for both the youth and for Norfield.
