A note from the Deacons: Norfield Church welcomes all congregants to join us for in-person worship in the Norfield Sanctuary as well as online via YouTube. The Holy Spirit is truly alive at Norfield, and fills our Sanctuary every Sunday as we join our hearts together in prayer, music, faith and devotion to Jesus Christ. Norfield Easter Prayer Vigil
Starting on 3:00pm on Good Friday and going through 7:00am on Easter Sunday, April 4th, the Norfield Deacons are hosting a celebration of our traditional Norfield Easter Vigil in the Church Sanctuary.
The Easter Vigil marks the time between Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. It gives each congregation member an opportunity to solemnly “wait” with Jesus. As those who have participated in the past will attest, the Vigil can be a powerful and moving experience.
During Easter Vigil, congregants can spend an hour in the Sanctuary praying, mediating, reading scripture, reading our Norfield meditations booklet, or simply sitting in silence. The Vigil is a simple way for each of us to experience some peaceful, contemplative time to ourselves, and to spiritually prepare for the significance of Easter in our lives.
