Norfield Easter Vigil [concluded]
Friday, April 2 @ 3:00 pm - Sunday, April 4 @ 7:00 am
2021 Norfield Easter Vigil
This year, starting on 3:00pm on Good Friday, April 2nd and going through 7:00am on Easter Sunday, April 4th, the Norfield Deacons were able to return to an in-person celebration of our traditional Norfield Easter Vigil in the Church Sanctuary.
The Easter Vigil marks the time between Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. It gives each congregation member an opportunity to solemnly “wait” with Jesus. As those who have participated in the past will attest, the Vigil can be a powerful and moving experience.
During Easter Vigil, congregants can spend an hour in the Sanctuary praying, mediating, reading scripture, reading our Norfield meditations booklet, or simply sitting in silence. The Vigil is a simple way for each of us to experience some peaceful, contemplative time to ourselves, and to spiritually prepare for the significance of Easter in our lives.
This year we made our Easter Vigil Reflections materials available electronically:
