Sharing God's Abundance
This is the time of year when our members prayerfully consider an ongoing annual Pledge for the year 2020. A pledge is our way of giving thanks. We acknowledge the blessings in our lives and express gratitude over how we all can share in the abundance of God's generosity to each of us.
How much should I pledge?
Your pledge should be an intentional response to God’s gifts in your life. There are many ways to decide how much to give. One traditional way is “percentage giving,” calculating your pledge by a percentage of your income. There is a concept taken from the bible, where we dedicate the “first fruits” of our labor right off the top, rather than what’s left after our expenses have been covered. No matter what we are able to pledge, we have discovered that committing to a level of giving honors God’s generosity to us.
How should I give?
